My Future Goals and Scientific Background
Career Goals
I currently plan to work in the microbial field specifically working with recombinant microorganisms to express desired products. I plan to work in both the business and science aspects of the field through project development
Undergraduate Scientific Expierence
During my undergraduate studies at NC State, I worked in the Kleiner Lab as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. I worked in a BSL-2 laboratory and was responsible for basic maintenance of the lab. I also worked closely with senior lab members on their related projects.
Graduate Scientific Experience
During my graduate studies at NC State, I worked as a teaching assistant for the microbiology department. In this role I taught students the basic principles of microbiology and how to plan and carry out experiments. I have also helped to teach microbial diversity analyzing environmental samples for microbial organisms and isolating desired organisms.
Summer Internship Experience
Over the summer I worked for Oncotect which is a Raleigh based startup focused on urine analysis of canine urine with nematodes for cancer detection. To see more visit my internship page.
